New for 2023, Team Simple Green and CBR will be teaming up to provide members with a safer and more affordable entry into the world of competitive cycling.

Going roundy-round at 28+ mph in a peloton is not for everyone, but criterium racing is part of bicycle racing. Even for the non-racer, it teaches vital bike handling skills that could save your hide on the open road.

Skills Clinic

If you’d like to improve your riding skill set to feel more competent on weekend group rides, we have a great program for you! At every CBR event on the calendar, you have the opportunity to attend a short S.A.F.E Rider training clinic. Normally this clinic costs $25, but for Team Simple Green members, your club will pick up this cost! Although the clinic is held on CBR race day, there is no requirement to race! Do the clinic and stay for the festivities. See the attached pdf for details.

CBR Racer Entry Program

For those already entrenched in the world of bicycle racing, Team Simple Green and CBR have a great program for you. Any Team Simple Green rider(as defined by their USAC license & club membership) receives a 50% discount on entry. YOU MUST PREREGISTER! This will be a code based discount taken at preregistration (bikereg). Contact Mike Okano to obtain discount code.

If you do all 6 events leading up to the final 7th race, you’ll get free entry into race 7. YOU MUST PREREGISTER!

VIP Team Area

The team will have our own “pit area” with easy-ups so you can park your stuff, bikes, spare wheels, trainer, limited parking, etc… You just need to show up!

CBR Team Competition

At the end of the series, if Team Simple Green wins any CBR category, $500 will be made available to all members in that category. Exact splits will be based on points contributed by individuals and input by the CBR race manager (Ivan Beltran).

BAR, Best All Round Rider

Because we are a team, we won’t incentivize individual standings.
