Club Event: Track Day Set For April 2, 2011
CARSON, CA – Cycles Veloce is excited to announce that the club will be sponsoring a day at the track on Saturday, April 02, 2011, exclusively for active* club members. This is a golden opportunity for members to enjoy some team camaraderie while giving indoor track riding a try at the Home Depot Center Velodrome, America’s largest indoor velodrome and part of the United States Olympic training centers.
Olympic Coach Roger Young will conduct each session and provide all the training. It is a very organized and structured event, which lends itself to a safe and fun experience.
This Introductory Class, a $225.00 value, is being offered free of charge for all current active members, as Team Simple Green/Bike Religion will be picking up the cost for all fees, including bikes and instruction. This is an introductory course in riding and training on the Home Depot Center Velodrome. The objective is to instill in riders safe riding skills, etiquette, and regulations. Each rider will graduate with a track certification, a necessary requirement to participate in any future program. Riders who are already certified are encouraged to attend this extended practice as well, to refine their track skills, and learn (or re-learn) tips and tricks that will improve their riding and fun.
On April 2, 2011, there will be a morning and afternoon session of the Introductory Class. Club members are encouraged to bring their own pedals, shoes, and helmets.
