Team Simple Green Supports Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Irvine Lake, Orange, CA – On Sunday, October 27th, 2013 the Team Simple Green cycling team was out supporting the 3rd Annual Cystic Fibrosis Cycle for Life thanks to Simple Green’s sponsorship of over 20 riders. Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of roughly 30,000 children and adults in the US. This ride gave us a chance to support a national foundation that is working towards a cure of Cystic Fibrosis.
The ride provided 2 options; 35 and 70 miles, with rest stops every 10-15 miles. The riders had enough drink and food to enjoy either route thanks to Rock N Road & Bike Religion. We rode through the Irvine area leaving Irvine Lake staying together for photo opportunities, even in the fog, and down toward Bike Religion in Dana Point. After departing the Dana Point shop, the pace was steady until we began ascending Antonio Parkway where it picked up and remained at a quick pace back to Irvine Lake. After arriving at the finish area, everyone was treated to a BBQ lunch and chatted about the day’s ride. It was a great day out with local riders and a chance to show Simple Green’s support for cycling and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
