‘Simple’ Star of Tomorrow – Jarred Jordan
TEMECULA, CA – On November 13 2010, 15 year- old Jarred Jordan (Murrieta, CA) completed the 3rd and final round of the 12-Hours of Temecula Endurance Race, finishing an impressive 2nd place overall in the 17 year-old and under Juniors category. The SoCal endurance races are held over 3 weekends at Vail Lake in Temecula, CA. In the first race of the year Jarred won the category, only to forfeit the lead at the end of round two to his 18 year-old rival. After 24 hours of completed riding, Jarred was a slim 7 minutes down on the race series leader. In race three, the two young men traded the lead several times with Jarred finally taking 2nd, just 10 minutes back.
Over the 12-hours on a rough 10.5 mile circuit each of these two riders completed an average of 10 laps per event. Both riders had great support, Jarred’s team consisting of his father, and later his younger brother, each ensuring that Jarred received his 3-minute per lap replenishment package (a gel pack, fluids, a banana, and honey sandwich) and that he was fitted with lights for the nearly 4 hours of night riding.
Jarred is a new addition to the Team Simple Green/Bike Religion racing team and we are looking forward to seeing this young talent reach his potential in the coming years.
