Irvine to San Diego Marina (87 miles)

With the exception of Torrey Pines this is a more or less flat/rolling course with a decent bike lane, but somewhat busy.

• • We’ll meet at the Irvine train station at 7:30am with a hard start at 8am.
  • Options: 
    1. Ride down and stay the night, then ride back Sunday morning.
    2. Ride down, take the train back to the Irvine station Saturday evening. The train schedule is attached here. 
    3. Ride down and have your own transportation organized for the return to the Irvine station. Note, I’m looking for a volunteer to drive my truck from Irvine to San Diego. I have room for 6-7 bikes and five persons(for the return) and this would allow for everyone to throw a duffle of clothes in the truck for lunch in San Diego.
  • No SAG Support. Many of us plan to use a backpack to carry a change of clothes to wear at the restaurant afterwards.
