2015 Team Clothing Orders
Order Window #1 Opens Oct 6th
Fall is nearly upon us, which means we’re finishing up a new design for 2015 team clothing (Color scheme will be similar to 2014). In order to get our members clothing in early 2015, our Clothing Order System schedule is as follows:
Order Window #1:
Opens: October 6, 2014
Closes: December 1, 2014
Target Delivery: February 6, 2015
Our tried-and-true sponsor Voler will again provide us with our team clothing in 2015. For this first order window, we will offer a full line of clothing to accommodate both competitive and non-competitive cycling in all weather conditions. Although we usually have additional order windows later on during 2015, certain items may or may not be offered (especially winter-specific wear), while basics such as bibs, shorts, short-sleeved clothing will definitely be available.
No Price Hikes
Voler and Cycles Veloce have worked out the 2015 pricing structure to be the same as this year’s prices, so NO PRICE HIKES!
New for 2015
Voler is constantly working to improve an already great product, and 2015 is no exception. Here’s what’s changed:
FS PowerGrip
The grip problem causing 2014 bibs and shorts to ride up has been eliminated with the introduction of the new PowerGrip, a silicone-free Lycra band with a carbon-texture on the inside guaranteeing an effective grip on the skin without causing that dreaded “sausage” effect. This new 2015 band has recently been tested by a few of our members who have provided positive feedback. The new band is now standard on FS Pro Shorts, Bibs, Skinsuits, as well as the new race-day only Velocity Pro jersey.
Velocity Pro Jersey
New for 2015, in addition to the standard jersey choices, we will be offering a special jersey designed exclusively as a “race-day only” garment called the Velocity Pro jersey. It is a super lightweight and form-fitting material that conforms tightly to the athlete’s body providing a sleek, highly aerodynamic, yet comfortable race-ready cycling jersey. Voler calls it Axiom fabric. It stretches in all directions and is fairly thin when compared to their FS Pro jersey that most of you are familiar with. Available with an exposed full zip (found to be more aerodynamic than a hidden zip!) and the new PowerGrip on both the armbands and waistband.
Observations and Notes:
- This jersey is not designed for everyday use (e.g. training rides)
- Not as durable as FS Pro Jersey due to much thinner lightweight 4-way stretch material.
- Frequent repeated washing may result in premature breakdown of fabric and/or seams.
- Designed to be worn when you require that aerodynamic advantage.
- This jersey is extremely form-fitting and will show off every contour of your upper body (including both “six-packs” and “muffin tops”).
Pads
The top-of-the-line Comp HP pad will continue to be available, but several older pads have been revamped: The entry level Torino and Diamante pads are being replaced with the Apex pad, and the mid-level Trilogy EOS pad will be replaced with the Elan pad.
To help you decide on which right pad is right for you, please read Comparing Voler’s Pads on the Voler website.
