DOMINGUEZ HILLS, CA – Team Simple Green/Bike Religion junior racers, Chazmichael Morales and Daniel Gay, dominated early and often, winning their respective Omniums at the SCNCA Junior track championships at the ADT Velodrome in Carson. Chaz and Daniel started early by winning their 500m Time Trials, both riding the distance in a blistering 36 seconds!
Not finished yet, Chaz also won the 13-14 Scratch Race and 10km Points Race, sweeping all three Omnium events! The 15-16 yr old Omnium continued into the afternoon, where Daniel won the 10km Scratch Race and also rode the second fastest Flying 200m qualifier for the Match Sprint.
In what had to be the most exciting race of the championships, Daniel finished 2nd in a hotly contested 15km Points Race, which saw the points lead change several times! For the final event, a very tired Daniel won the 3rd place Match Sprint Ride Off, which sealed his victory for the Overall 15-16 Omnium Championship!
